With these results, the Colombian Navy affected the finances of organized armed groups that commit crimes in the northern Pacific by more than US$30 million. It also prevented the distribution and consumption of 2,036,024 doses of narcotics worldwide.
With information from naval intelligence, troops from Marine Infantry Battalion No. 23 attached to Marine Infantry Brigade No. 2, deployed to the sector of Panguí, general area of the municipality of Nuquí – Chocó, where the first illegal warehouse was located, finding inside 768 packages of irregular size and shape, containing 714 kilograms of marijuana.
At the same time, in the municipality of Juradó – Chocó, troops from the same Battalion located two illegal storage centers, one in the general area of Bahía Octavia and the other in the Punta Cocalito sector, where 29 sacks containing 767 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride were found inside.
